Alexandra Zisimopoulos November 28, 1938 - April 10, 2025

With profound sadness, at the age of 86, we announce the passing of Alexandra Zisimopoulos, a cherished mother, grandmother, and dear friend. Alexandra was the loving heartbeat of her family and friends transforming every gathering into a warm and welcoming home. Her kitchen was a haven of love, laughter, and delicious food, where stories were shared, traditions were passed down, and everyone felt at home.

Born in Evinochori, Greece, Alexandra proudly carried her Greek heritage throughout her life, infusing every moment with the same passion and love she devoted to her cooking. She had a remarkable gift for making ordinary moments extraordinary - whether teaching loved ones the art of traditional cooking or sharing tales around the dinner table. Her presence was a comforting embrace, her wisdom a guiding light, and her love a boundless treasure.

Alexandra is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Kathy; her son, Paul; her son-in-law, Michael; her daughter-in-law, Cynthia; and her grandsons, Jason and Steven. She is also survived by her sisters Sia Klidonas and Sofia Pappas; brothers Tom and Gus Gavrielatos; and  had so much love for all of her nieces and nephews.  Alexandra is predeceased by her brothers Chris, John and George Gavrielatos.  Though she has left this world, her treasured recipes, the warmth of her caring for others, and the lessons she imparted will continue to inspire, nourish, and comfort those who loved her.

She will be deeply missed, but her love, legacy, and memory will remain eternal, a source of strength and comfort to all who knew her.

Reposing, Leach & Thomas Funeral Home on Monday from 3-7PM. Funeral Service, The Greek Orthodox Church of Our Savior on Tuesday 10:30 AM in Rye, NY. Interment to follow at Dale Cemetery, Ossining, NY.
