My memory of Loretta ("Mrs. Butkus") goes back to high school days at NDA. She cared so deeply about Cathy and all her friends. She wanted the best for all of us, and she made a point to keep up with our lives throughout the years. In conversations as the years went on, it was obvious that the light of her life was her grandchildren, with whom she was so closely involved. What better compliment of a person's life can there be than to say that they deeply loved their family and that they contributed so selflessly to the well being of others?

Dear Cathy, your mother was a good friend of my mother, Nancy Killian McGeever. They had a good circle of friends including Pat Corbett and Mary Fahy. I am sorry for your loss and wish you comfort in cherished memories.
