Greg Todd Bleakley

Greg Todd Bleakley 54 of Croton-on-Hudson NY passed away Sunday December 22, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 16th, 1965 raised in Buchanan NY. While attending Hendrick Hudson High School, Greg was an outstanding athlete excelling in Football, Baseball and received the Con Edison award for Wrestling. Later moving to Croton-on-Hudson, Greg joined the Local 137 IUOE in 1990 and was a devoted union member. Greg lived life in the fast lane – if it wasn’t fast and loud, he wasn’t interested. Boating and fishing on the Hudson, riding down South on his Motorcycle, camping with his family along the East Coast, and finding the biggest baddest new “toys” was how he lived his life to the fullest. His love for the NY Yankees and Giants could be heard by the players from his living room chair. Attending the Super Bowl in 2012 and witnessing the Giants take home the trophy with his son Gregory was one of the best memories of his life. Greg was happiest when he was sitting on his boat on the river with family, friends and his two dogs, Tas and Tank. He was surrounded, supported and loved throughout his battle until the end by his very close friends and beloved family. He is survived by his wife, Beth Bleakley,; son Gregory,; step-daughter Alexa,; mother Carrol and husband, John of Florida; brother James and wife, Susan of Pennsylvania,; sister Pamela and husband, Timothy of Dutchess County,; brother Timothy of Buchanan,; brother Fred and wife, Lura of Buchanan,; brother-in-law David and wife Stacey of Lagrangeville,; and a very large extended family.  He is predeceased by his brother Glenn,; father James,; step-son Tyler,; and mother-in-law Sally. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the Leach & Thomas Funeral Home from 2-4 PM where Funeral Services will be held at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Thomas D.
