Catherine V. (Higgins) Geyer

Catherine V. Geyer 94, of Nanuet, N.Y. and formerly of Whiting, N.J. and Monroe and Bronx, N.Y. died on June 9, 2017. She was born on Jan. 28, 1923 to the late John and Agnes (nee Culhane) Higgins in N.Y., N.Y. After the death of her 1^st husband, she served for many years as a Civilian Supervisor for the US Navy Dept. It was there she met her 2^nd husband.  Catherine was predeceased by her 2 husbands, John V. Sheehan in 1952 and Charles E. Geyer in 1989 along with her four deceased brothers, Joseph, Timothy, John and Daniel Higgins and one deceased sister, Helen T. Higgins. She is survived by her loving children, John F. (MaryJane) Sheehan of Monroe, N.Y., Charles M. Geyer of NYC, James E. (Pat Bases) Geyer of Jersey City, N.J., Catherine A. (Daniel) Emsworth of Monroe, N.Y., Helen T. (Thomas) McCarthy of Coram, N.Y. and Veronica E. Geyer (Susan Petko) of Lambertville, N.J., one sister, Lillian Guyt of Northvale, N.J. ; also survived by her eight cherished grandchildren and five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Reposing, Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home , Ossining, N.Y. on Tuesday, 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, St. Augustine’s Church, Ossining, N.Y. on Wednesday, 10 AM. Interment, Old St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y.
