Scott Jay Howie, 61, of Chesterfield, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 in Chesterfield, VA. Visitation will be on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 5-9pm at Waterbury & Kelly, 45 S. Highland Avenue, Ossining, New York. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Church of St. Ann, 25 Eastern Avenue, Ossining, NY with the Rev. Edward Byrne officiating.   Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Hawkes Avenue, Ossining, NY. Scott was born in Yonkers, NY to Stanley & Carol Howie on March 5, 1956.  He went to school at Saunders Trade & Technical School in Yonkers.  He married Victoria Howie on October 12, 1997 in Scarborough, NY.  He worked as a Delivery Driver for Lowes for eight years.  He was a veteran of Vietnam War and served in the Navy.  He was an Ex Captain of Holla Hose, Engine 100, Company No. 5. Scott is preceded in death by his mother, Carol Howie, his brothers Stanley Howie and Thomas Howie, his grandparents Jack & Elizabeth Howie and Thomas & Martha Kane, and his uncle, Frank Pappalardo. Scott is survived by his spouse of 19 years, Victoria Howie; his children, Michael Howie (Gladys), Diane Kempter (Dave), Robert Howie (Nicole), Richard Howie, Christopher Howie, and Megan Howie; his father, Stanley Howie (JoAnn); his sisters and brothers, Carene Domato (Richard), Susan Autera (Vincent), John Howie, and Bruce Howie; his grandchildren, Ashley, Kaylee, and Kristin; his aunt Shirley Pappalardo; his father & mother in law, Edward & Janet De Nicola; sister and brother in laws, Ann-Marie Larkin (Paul), Peter De Nicola (Patricia), Edward De Nicola (Noreen), Matthew De Nicola, Allison Argyropoulos (Brian), Karen Howie, Carol Yasukawa, Anita Howie, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Donation in lieu of flowers may be given to the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department or Wounded Warriors.
