Ruth Christine (Meyer) Bergman

Ruth Christine Bergman 92, of Briarcliff Manor, NY passed away on Sept. 10, 2017. She was born on Dec. 8, 1924 to the late Frank and Ruth (nee Meyer) Bergman in New York City. Ruth earned a PhD and then went on to work for many different school districts throughout her career with her most recent job being with the White Plains Public Schools. Ruth is survived by her nieces Anne (John) Smallhorn of Litchfield Park Az., Barbara (Ray) Perkins Hughes of Davenport New Zealand, Deborah Perkins of Ontario, Ca, and her nephew Richard Perkins (Kelley) of Glendale Az. She is also survived by her many great and great great nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her sister Caryl B. Perkins and her nephew Arthur E. Perkins. Ruth always had a special place in her heart for both the Mango and Schneider Families who took such great care of her in her later years. Reposing, Leach & Thomas Funeral Home (NEW LOCATION), on Friday from 1-3 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service, Saturday 9:30 AM at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Scarborough, NY. Interment, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY to follow. In lieu of flower donations in Ruth’s name to Columbia University would be appreciated.
