Clara Fontana

Clara Fontana 108, It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Clara Fontana, Wednesday February 21, 2018.  At 108 years old she lived a beautiful life dedicated to her family and friends.  Clara was born December 1st, 1909 in Mount Vernon, NY. Decades of hard work, and her passion for family and friends kept her young at heart.  She is predeceased by her beloved husband Phillip and son Frank.  Clara is survived by her loving son John and his wife Linda, and daughter Lucille and her husband Anthony. She is also survived by 10 loving grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She has always credited her longevity to hard work and clean living.  On Clara’s 108th birthday, she received a special Proclamation from the County of Westchester naming December 1st “Clara Fontana Day”.  A celebration of Clara’s life will be held Sunday February 25th from 2pm to 6pm at Waterbury and Kelly Funeral Home, 1300 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor NY 10510.  A funeral service will be held Monday February 26th at 10 AM at Waterbury and Kelly Funeral Home followed by interment at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 95 Kings Highway, New Rochelle, NY 10801.
